Attorney Kevin D. Janis

Kevin grew up in Mosinee, Wisconsin, graduating from Mosinee High School in 1990.  He went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Chemistry and Philosophy.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2010.  Prior to attending law school, he served as the marketing manager and technical services manager for Asia on behalf of a large, multi-national chemical company.  He has also practiced law over the past sixteen (16) years.  Kevin is licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin and in the US District Court, Western District of Wisconsin.

He has experience in the areas of family law, guardianship (adult and juvenile), termination of parental rights, criminal defense, estate planning, and business law.

Kevin believes that the ability to anticipate issues is fundamental to the practice of law, both when working collaboratively and adversarially.

Competent  legal  representation  is  important,  and  every  client’s  needs  and  goals  are  different.   Considering  the emotional  and  financial  impact  legal issues  can  have  on  individuals,  it  is  important  for  any  attorney  representing  you  to  have  the  ability  to  approach  those  issues  in  a  collaborative  way.   Often,  there  are  ”out  of  the  box”  solutions  that  fully  or  partially  resolve  conflict,  saving  a  client  significant  negative  emotional  and  financial  consequences  that  accompany  litigation.  It  is  also  important  for  any  attorney  representing  you  to  be  able  to  competently  litigate  matters  if  a  collaborative  approach  is  not  effective.
